Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the Helms coaching app (“the App”, “we”, “us”). The App is also distributed under individual coach brands; the same terms apply to all of them, as they run on one shared platform. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these terms.

Who operates the App. Helms is operated as a sole trader based in Scotland, United Kingdom. For platform or technical matters, contact us at admin@usehelms.com. For coaching matters, contact your coach.

1. The service

The App lets coaches deliver training, nutrition and check-in coaching to their clients. We provide the software platform; your coaching relationship is with your coach, who is responsible for the coaching advice and programs they give you.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App — including attempting to access other users’ data, disrupting the service, reverse-engineering it, or using it for unlawful purposes.

4. Intellectual property

The App, its software, design, and the Helms and coach brand names and logos are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App for its intended purpose.

Coaching content. Training programs, meal plans, written guidance and other materials your coach provides through the App are licensed to you for your own personal use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publish or share them with any third party without written permission. This restriction survives termination of your account.

Your content. You keep ownership of the content you create in the App (check-in notes, photos, logs, messages). You grant us and your coach the limited rights needed to operate the service and deliver your coaching.

5. AI features

Some features use AI to assist coaches (for example, summarising data or drafting analytics). Your coach’s written feedback to you is not AI-generated. AI output is a tool to support coaching, not medical advice.

6. No medical advice

The App and the coaching delivered through it are for general fitness and wellbeing and are not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new training or nutrition program, especially if you have a health condition.

7. Payment

Any coaching fees are arranged directly between you and your coach unless stated otherwise. We are not party to that arrangement.

8. Availability & liability

We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service or other users.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms and any dispute relating to them are governed by the laws of Scotland.
